California Consumer Privacy Statement

CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY STATEMENT

The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, California Civil Code Sections 1798.100 et seq. (“CCPA") affords rights to you if you are a California resident.  This California Consumer Privacy Statement uses certain terms that have the meaning given to them in the CCPA.

Our Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information: We collect the categories of personal information when you interact with us set forth in our Privacy Policy  under "WHAT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU DO WE COLLECT?”.  We collect this information so that we can best serve you, including to fulfill your requests and to share offers that we think you may be interested in.  A more detailed description of these purposes is in our Privacy Policy  under “HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA?”.  In addition, we make the following disclosure for purposes of complying with the CCPA:

  •  We collected the following categories of personal information in the last 12 months: identifiers/contact information, demographic information (such as gender and age), payment card information, Internet or other electronic network activity information, geolocation data, audio, electronic, visual or similar information, and inferences drawn from the above.
  • The sources of personal information from whom we collected are: directly from you, analytics tools, social networks, advertising networks, and third-party services that update or supplement information we hold about you.
  • We disclosed the following categories of personal information for a business purpose in the last 12 months: identifiers/contact information, demographic information (such as gender and age), payment card information associated with you, Internet or other electronic network activity information, geolocation data, audio, electronic, visual or similar information, and inferences drawn from the above. We disclosed one or more of these categories to third-party business partners and service providers on a need-to-know basis, third-party sites or platforms such as social networking sites, and/or other third parties as described in the “HOW WE USE PERSONAL DATA?” section of the Privacy Policy

  • We do not sell your personal information in exchange for monetary compensation. We may allow certain third parties (such as certain advertising partners) to collect your personal information via automated technologies on our online channels or otherwise share personal information with such parties in exchange for non-monetary consideration (such as an enhanced ability to serve you content and advertisements that may be of interest to you). This is considered a “sale” under the CCPA.  Accordingly, as the term is defined by the CCPA, we “sold” the following categories of personal information in the last 12 months: identifiers/contact information, Internet or other electronic network activity information, and inferences drawn from the above. We “sold” each category to advertising networks, data analytics providers, and social networks.  The business or commercial purposes of “selling” personal information is for third-party companies to perform services on our behalf, such as marketing, advertising, and business analytics.

  • We do not “sell" the personal information of minors under 16 years of age without affirmative authorization if we have actual knowledge of the individual’s age.

California Consumer Privacy Rights:  California residents have a right to (1) access—twice in a 12-month period, free of charge—for the 12-month period prior to the request, the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which the personal information is collected, the business purpose for collecting the personal information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share personal information; and (2) delete personal information under certain circumstances. And of course, we do not discriminate against our users and customers on the basis of their exercising any of their rights afforded by the CCPA, which is further in accordance with California residents’ rights under that title.

To request access to your personal information, delete your personal information, or have us correct your information, you may contact us by emailing privacy@zumba.com.

To help protect your privacy and maintain security, if you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of personal information, we will require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request.  If you designate an authorized agent to make an access, deletion or opt-out of sale request on your behalf we may require you to provide the authorized agent written permission to do so.

If you choose to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may charge a reasonable fee to comply with your request.  This Statement is available in alternative formats upon request.  Please contact privacy@zumba.com to request this Statement in an alternative format.
